How deposits, cancellations, refunds, force majeure and vendor payouts work on EventsPH.
Draft — pending legal review
These policies apply to every booking made on EventsPH. Each vendor chooses some settings for their own listings — the deposit, the balance due date and a cancellation policy tier — and you see them on the listing and again at checkout before you pay.
The policy shown when you book is the one that applies to that booking, even if the vendor changes their listing later.
EventsPH charges no service fee at the moment. If that changes, the fee will be shown before you pay and will not apply to payments already made.
Your refund depends on the vendor's policy tier and on how many days are left before your event, counted in Philippine time from the day you cancel. It is a percentage of what you have paid for that vendor's booking (deposit and any balance). We show the exact amount before you confirm.
| Policy tier | Days before the event | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| Flexible | 30 days or more | 100% |
| Flexible | 7 to 29 days |
Vendors without instant booking have 24 hours to accept. If they decline or don't answer in time, what you paid for that vendor is refunded automatically, and we suggest similar vendors.
Force majeure applies when PAGASA Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 or higher, or a government-declared emergency, covers the event location on the event date. Our team confirms it for the event.
During the pilot, refunds are paid by InstaPay or bank transfer to an account you give us. When a refund is created we ask for the account name and number in the app; the refund is on its way within 1–3 business days after you give us those details.
When refunds through Maya are available, we may send refunds back that way instead. Either way, you'll see the status of each refund in My event.
If something went wrong, report a problem from My event until the day before the vendor's balance payout is due — at the latest, the day before the 3rd business day after the event. The vendor's balance payout is put on hold while our team reviews what you and the vendor tell us. We then release the payout or refund part of what you paid.
Nothing in these policies limits the rights you have under Philippine consumer law.
Partners can follow every payout in Payments & payouts and download a CSV statement.
